How Does a Laser Remove Hair?
Laser hair removal works as the laser emits a light that is absorbed by hair follicles. When this happens, the follicle converts the light into heat, absorbing it and burning up. Afterward, the follicle is no more as it has basically destroyed itself. This only works on hair follicles in the active stage of the growth cycle, which is why numerous appointments are required. Many of the hairs in an area will be dormant during the first appointment, but they become active and will be targeted during subsequent sessions.
