How Much Does CoolSculpting Cost?

Those last 15 or 20 pounds are notoriously difficult to lose because our bodies are designed to ride the ups and downs of scarcity and abundance. When nearing your ideal weight, your genetics kick in to preserve some cushion “just in case” there’s scarcity around the corner. It’s biological, so if you’ve struggled to lose stubborn fat, you’re not alone. Rejuve Med-Spa’s expert body sculpting technicians are here to freeze that fat away, so you get the body shape you’ve worked hard to achieve.

How Does CoolSculpting Work?

CoolSculpting is a breakthrough that came about when scientists discovered fat cells freeze at a higher temperature than surrounding tissues, a process called cryolipolysis. The CoolSculpting system delivers precise cooling to areas of your body that seem to hang on to fat more than others: upper arms, flanks, abdomen, thighs, or anywhere else you’ve got bulges you don’t want. Even areas around the neck and chin can be treated by CoolSculpting. Fat cells in your treatment area crystallize, resulting in cell death, and your body then filters them out through your lymphatic system. It’s easy, virtually pain-free, and most of all, the fat cells are gone for good.

Am I a Good Candidate?

CoolSculpting was designed to contour away unwanted fat bulges, but it isn’t a treatment for obesity. Ideal candidates are those within 30 pounds of their target weight who have realistic expectations.

CoolSculpting Procedure, Downtime, and Results

With CoolSculpting, there are no incisions, no injections, and no downtime. The applicator is applied to your treatment area, and you’ll feel cold against your skin and potentially some tugging, tingling, or potentially a mild ache. These quickly subside as the area becomes numb. CoolSculpting is entirely safe as the system contains sensors that shut the device down if the temperature falls below acceptable levels. Most patients read, check email, or even nap during their treatment. Afterward, patients are cleared to return to their regular activities.

Results, which take around 12 weeks to become visible because the body needs time to filter out the crystallized fat cells, have a proven reduction in fat, up to 24%. A majority of patients are pleased with their outcomes after a single treatment, but many opt to schedule two or three sessions for the best contour possible. Improvements continue for up to 6 months as your body continues to eliminate the dead cells.

How Much Does CoolSculpting Cost?

The cost of CoolSculpting is very much in line with other body shaping procedures in the cosmetic enhancement industry, though it varies with the practitioner, location, and the number of areas being treated. Prices range between $500 and $4,500, according to location-based reviews on RealSelf.com. The average price paid nationally is around $2,450, far less than liposuction procedures.
