What is PRP Hair Restoration?
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) uses growth and healing factors in your blood to enhance hair growth and scalp health. PRP is collected by spinning a small amount of your blood in a centrifuge, causing the layers to separate. We extract a clear layer full of platelets, components of your immune system that play a vital role in healing.
When injected into your scalp, PRP hair treatment works in several ways. It promotes the growth of new blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to the scalp and triggers dormant hair follicles to become active. It promotes the formation of proteins like keratin and collagen that build healthy skin and hair.
How Long Does PRP Hair Restoration Take?
Your hair restoration treatment begins with several injections of PRP into the areas of your scalp with thinning hair. As part of our Elite Hair Restoration Program, you will receive a series of injections over the next three months. Many people will see improvements by this three-month mark, but some people may need a bit more time.
Depending on how long you prefer to keep your hair and how fast your hair grows, it will take several months for your new hair regrowth to fill in thinning areas. You will notice during this time that your still-active follicles grow thicker, healthier hairs, adding to the appearance of fullness.
