How Does Microneedling Work?
Microneedling works by creating tiny micro-injuries in the skin to jumpstart your healing response. Am I a Good Candidate?
Microneedling isn’t dependent on skin type, so almost anyone is a good candidate. Those with an active skin infection, on certain medications, or other health concerns may need to wait before scheduling a Microneedling session. What Are Microneedling Treatments Like?
Your treatment begins with the application of a topical anesthetic for maximum comfort. The process takes about an hour, during which time you’ll feel pressure but little to no pain. Some Microneedling treatments include the infusion of serums and creams to improve the results for certain skin concerns, so be sure to ask your Rejuve Med-Spa aesthetician during your consultation what would work best for your skin. Afterward, your skin may be tender and reddened, but that will resolve within 2-4 days, though some patients heal completely within 24 hours.
How Quickly Will I See Results?
Immediately following your Microneedling session, you may notice increased radiance and vitality of your skin, which will be touchably softer and smoother. Your natural healing process takes a few weeks, so your skin will continue to improve over the next month. The best, most lasting results require multiple sessions to achieve, and most patients have three treatments scheduled four weeks apart. Those with deeper wrinkles, more serious acne scarring, or stretch marks may require as many as eight treatments.
