How Long Does Laser Hair Removal Take?

A few treatments are required, largely because the only hair follicles that absorb the energy are ones in the active stage of growth. It’s believed that 20% of your hair follicles exist in this phase at any given time, hence the need for multiple treatments to catch them all.
About Laser Hair Removal Sessions
A typical session can last anywhere between 15-60 minutes. It all depends on the amount of hair being removed from the body. Larger areas – like your back or legs – will be closer to the 60-minute mark than places like your upper lip or underarms.
Furthermore, you will need to come back for more sessions if you want to see the true long-lasting effects of laser hair removal. At Rejuve Med-Spa, we encourage our patients to come back 7-8 times to completely remove their hair. These treatments will be 6- weeks apart to let your resting hairs enter the active growth stage. After the 7-8 treatments, we suggest coming back for an appointment once a year for maintenance purposes.
