If you’re ready to free yourself from the time-consuming, money-wasting task of hair removal, you have another option. Laser hair removal can get rid of hair and leave your skin smooth and stubble-free.
How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
Rejuve Med-Spa achieves amazing hair removal results with the Soprano ICE™, an innovative multi-wavelength laser. These multiple wavelengths make this laser more effective at treating more skin and hair shades than ever before.
Laser hair removal targets follicles where hair growth begins. An active follicle contains a hair root. When the laser energy enters the skin, it has no effect, but when it comes into contact with the pigments in the hair root, it heats up, damaging the hair follicle. The hair will fall out, and no hair will grow in its place.
How Many Sessions for Laser Hair Removal?
Most people will require anywhere between three and eight sessions of hair removal. The number of sessions depends on how long it takes for all of your hair follicles to get treated by the laser. At any time, some hair follicles are in an active phase, and some are resting. Only active follicles with growing hair will respond to treatment. With each treatment, more hair will stop growing.
What are the Benefits of Laser Hair Removal?
Benefits of laser hair removal include:
Over time, razors, waxing, or other treatments can become expensive. While laser hair removal may cost more initially, you can save money in the long run.
Whether it’s shaving, waxing, plucking, or epilating, hair removal takes up a lot of time that most people would rather spend doing other things.
You won’t have to think before you go somewhere whether your skin is smooth or not. When your skin always looks and feels smooth, stubble becomes a thing of the past.
How Do I Prepare for Laser Hair Removal?
You should start preparing for your laser hair removal at least one month before your session. Preparation will help you achieve better results.
Avoid Waxing or Plucking
The laser needs a hair root to target a follicle. Methods that pull hair out of the follicle, like waxing, remove the root, so you will not be able to treat as many follicles. Wait at least one month for roots to grow back. You can still shave at any time.
Bleaching does not remove the root, but it does remove the pigment. This makes the follicle invisible to the laser, just like a follicle with no hair in it.
Shave Before Treatment
The day before treatment, shave the area well. Treatment works better when most of the hair is inside the follicle, below the surface of the skin. Shaving leaves the entire root, so treatment still works just as well.
