Dermal Fillers

Natural-looking facial volume that lets you look years younger.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that add volume to your facial features. This volume can restore a more youthful appearance to your cheeks and mid-face, plump your lips, and smooth lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers can undo the natural volume loss that comes with aging. You can also use them to enhance your features for a fuller, more youthful look.

What Can Dermal Fillers Treat?

Dermal fillers work almost anywhere on the face that would benefit from added volume. Popular uses for dermal fillers include:

  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Nasolabial folds and marionette lines
  • Tear troughs
  • Mid-face balancing
  • Cheek shaping
  • Lip plumping
  • Fine lines around the mouth

Dermal fillers come in a variety of materials and formulas so we can choose the right one for your individual needs.

What Types of Dermal Fillers are Available?

We offer a range of dermal fillers because each one excels for a different application. Your expert injector may prefer a Juvederm® filler for one purpose and Radiesse® for another. Options include:

Juvederm®

This family of dermal fillers uses hyaluronic acid, a water-attracting molecule that occurs naturally in the skin. It offers fillers for the lips and mouth area, the mid-face and cheeks, and a variety of lines and wrinkles. Juvederm® comes from Allergan, the manufacturer of Botox®.

Restylane®

These dermal fillers also use hyaluronic acid to create natural-looking volume. Their formulas can improve volume and shape in the mid-face area, plump the lips, and add volume to areas like tear troughs.

Radiesse®

This filler uses calcium hydroxylapatite suspended in a gel matrix. It provides immediate results and stimulates collagen for long-lasting results. Radiesse® makes an excellent choice for deep lines and wrinkles such as nasolabial folds.

Sculptra®

Using poly-L-lactic acid, Sculptra® triggers collagen production to produce enhanced volume over a period of weeks to months. This filler works well for deep lines and wrinkles including marionette lines and nasolabial folds.

Why Choose Rejuve Med Spa?

Depending on where you go for your dermal filler treatment, you may receive injections from someone with minimal training or experience. At Rejuve Med Spa, all our expert injectors have extensive training and certifications in the use of injectable treatments. You will always receive the attention of an experienced injector who knows how to select the best dermal fillers for each purpose.

How Long Do Dermal Fillers Last?

Each dermal filler has an expected lifespan. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers typically last between six months and two years. Fillers used in the lips or other mobile areas do not usually last as long as those for the mid-face area or deep wrinkles. Because Sculptra® and Radiesse® trigger collagen development, their results can last two years or more. The collagen produced will outlast the filler material to help results last longer.

Is There Any Downtime With Dermal Fillers?

No downtime is required after dermal fillers, and you can return to your usual activities right away. You might notice minor bruising, swelling, or sensitivity in the injection area. These will fade within a day or two. Dermal filler materials are chosen for their ability to remain safely in the skin, and most people have little to no reaction to the injections.

Am I a Good Candidate for Dermal Fillers?

We have a dermal filler that will work for almost anyone. Most people make good candidates for at least one type of dermal filler. We will review your treatment plan to make sure you know what to expect. You may not be a good candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a skin infection.
