Plasma Fibroblast Therapy
Collagen is our skin’s most important protein, its fibers providing support for our skin to maintain its healthy, youthful appearance. Time and age slow collagen production, and weakened collagen fibers stretch and allow our skin to become lax. This leads to wrinkles and sagging skin, which contribute to an older, more weathered appearance. Plasma fibroblast therapy is designed to treat the source of your collagen production, and the Rejuve Med Spa team couldn’t be prouder to bring this cutting-edge treatment to our patients.

How Does Plasma Fibroblast Therapy Work?
Fibroblasts are where collagen is produced, so it stands to reason that healing these protein-producing cells in the dermis would improve collagen fibers to keep your skin looking and feeling tighter, more supported, and younger. Plasma fibroblast therapy focuses the science behind plasma energy on the fibroblasts. Using a pen-like device that discharges a high-frequency electric current above the skin—it never actually touches your skin’s surface—plasma fibroblast therapy creates tiny micro-injuries in the skin through thermal disruption. These controlled wounds break down the damaged collagen fibers in your skin for replacement, encourage tissue regeneration, and jumpstart the fibroblasts into producing better quality collagen. The thermal heat also reacts with components of your skin which contract, resulting in immediate skin tightening.
Plasma fibroblast therapy is non-surgical, targeting a variety of skin concerns such as:
- Photoaging, including age spots
- Wrinkles, including sensitive areas like near the eyes and around the lips
- Acne scars
- Seborrheic keratosis, which are dark, scaly skin growths with a wart-like texture
Am I a Good Candidate?
If the creep of age has gotten more insistent over time, and your skin bears its signs with age spots, wrinkles, or you have other skin concerns with texture or scarring, you may be an ideal candidate for plasma fibroblast therapy. Those patients with a history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring should approach plasma fibroblast therapy with caution. At Rejuve Med Spa, our comprehensive consultation with Invisia skin analysis will help you determine the best form of treatment for your skin.
What’s the Procedure Like?
Plasma fibroblast therapy is performed in the luxurious comfort of the Rejuve Med Spa offices and takes about 30-60 minutes to complete. Topical numbing cream is available to ensure your maximum comfort during the procedure. Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed and the anesthetic cream is applied and left to take effect. Once you’re comfortable, your Rejuve Med Spa specialist will move the plasma pen above the surface of your skin in a controlled, sweeping motion to evenly disperse the plasma energy. Small scab-like dots will appear on your skin to show the treatment is working. The last step is the application of cooling gel to reduce the tingling aftereffects and counteract any burning sensations.
