Is There Any Downtime?
Most treatments for melasma will not involve downtime, however, patients who select chemical peels may opt to take a few days off from work as the skin may scab and flake. In most instances, patients may be asked to avoid sun exposure or heavy physical exertion for a few days to one week. After all procedures, patients will be advised to use sunscreen on a regular basis when exposed to sunlight.
